Edelweiss

This haunting version of Rodger’s & Hammerstein’s Sound of Music classic Edelweiss captured my attention when it was re-purposed as the eerie introduction for the televesion adaptation of Phillip K Dick’s “The Man in the High Castle”

I was so impressed that I decided to learn it, but I noticed that all the version I found on youtube were slightly innaccurate (A not untypical scenario!)

Therefore, as the adage goes, if a job’s worth doing, do it yourself! And so I have. Below is my transcription of the intro theme above. Note the chord symbols indicating a tune of reasonable harmonic sophistication, as befits Rodger’s & Hammerstein.

“Bless My Homeland Forever…”

Ah good! Glad you found it useful! It’s often difficult to find a specific version of a tune like this so I often end up doing my own transcription…
