“I had guitar lessons with Nat from the ages 14 through to 20 and in that time I went from a complete beginner to playing professionally. Nat’s personable and relaxed approach meant that the guitar never felt a chore, and I always looked forward to playing. During my time with Nat I achieved both LCM Grade 8 Pop Music Theory and Rockschool Grade 8 Guitar. Perhaps most importantly, Nat’s insatiable curiosity and systematic approach to the guitar inspired me to continue learning on my own and explore music to the full! “

What I Can Teach You
The guitar is a fantastically versatile instrument that has quite rightfully ruled as the king of popular music throughout the 20th century and into the 21st both in it’s acoustic and electric forms.
The electric bass guitar, popularised by Leo Fender in the 1950’s, has revolutionised 20th century music. As the agile cousin of the hulking double (or “string”) bass, the electric bass guitar can play in a wide ranger of styles from jazz to pop.
The Piano is a beautiful instrument with a vast and challenging solo repertoire. No matter what other instrument you play, a good grasp of the piano can immensely aid your understanding of harmony and composition.
The ukulele has undergone a surge of popularity in recent years, and it’s easy to see why! When it comes to sheer fun and ease of learning, the humble uke is second-to-none!
Music theory lessons will benefit you as a musician, regardless of which instrument or style of music you play. I teach classical, popular and jazz theory to for improvisation and composition.
I give online lessons for guitar, bass, ukulele, piano and music theory via Skype. This service is available to pupils anywhere in the world. We will be able to see and hear each other and your lesson notes will be emailed to you prior to your lesson.
